Can these shadows go on players and vehicles?

Also, would it be possible to do something like Tutorial and have a build load up when you start the map?

Oh man.

I am SO excited right now.  Great work, this is awesome.

Whats the problem with using the shaders in maps Like Bedroom & kitchen?
Could there be a slider box for how much quality for the shaders?
Will this allow us to have better lights? :D

i am standing in a puddle of jizz

a puddle of well-shaded, plastic flavored jizz

i actually
i think i'll miss the terrains

maps like that

really kind of separated blockland from other builder games

they've really been pretty while they've been here

and i'd miss being able to walk in a direction forever

maybe there'd be some sort of non-terrible replacement? nah, but

i guess we'd all adapt
i would love things to replace terrain if they look good, but the vehicle physics sucks and jeeps and "helicopters" will be flying right through the ground.

reason to keep terrain:
SKIS

Yes, skis being gone will sadden me greatly.

cant the terrain be fixed?
Or will be to laggy :C

Skis are not going away.

I am sure this can be done.

I agree with Titanium, they kind of made up blockland.

But I never used them that much anyways so not a big loss to me.

what use will be for it then
brick terrain wont work with it?

i personally hate terrain with a burning passion because that's ALL people seem to use

i mean, nobody builds stuff ON the terrain. they usually put bases here and there, then use the natural features of the terrain to pick up whatever slack their laziness has left

though vehicle code might need some optimization for brick collisions. i smell bullet physics

Skis are not going away.
But if there's no terrain, what will the skis ski on? :(

It isn't those maps specifically, it is that interiors and terrains make rendering the shadowmap much more complicated. Most of the complexity in Torque's scene graph is due to considerations for making interiors/terrains work properly. If you strip all that out, things get a LOT simpler, so it's easier to make shadows work properly for the remaining things (ie players and vehicles).

There are some quality options.
