DC Universe Online Characters - patch broke the game

While this game might not be the best out there, it's pretty addicting. To me at least.

But when it gets boring, a way to make it still fun is to use the customization to make badass/creepy/amazing characters.

If you have played this game, what ORIGINAL characters have you made?

And this game is rated T? I was downloading this but it was taking forever and it was 14gigs or something and I didn't know if it was worth it and oh well. I might download it to use the Green Lantern rings.

It says that there's mild blood but there's no blood in it at all. Not that I've seen.

I tried to play this game but was plagued by "cannot connect to DC Universe servers" or whatever.  Then I heard about the lackluster gameplay.

Can someone help me here? This game has been working fine since I installed it, which is like 2 weeks, but today there was an Windows Update on my computer. After the update, the DCU Launcher keeps giving me an Error 11001.
