i just found out you could embed SVG images if there aren't any bitmaps :o

except the text gets all weird and tiny for some reason.

oooh
shiiinyyyy
wait did you use inkscape for that

I see a prism.
Is that what it is suppoed to be?

Scalar Vector Graphic. Unlike a normal bitmap, it uses vector points and information to dynamically make images based on the size of the canvas. The quality of that prism will be the same at 15px or 15000px.

whats an svg
A Scalable Vector Graphic (SVG), meaning it'll never lose quality when zooming or scaling it

whats an svg
i'm wondering that, also
scalable vector graphics, i think

those files people use to make it so you can resize it to any size without loss of quality, written in an xml format.

starfishS

well that's interesting

It's not transparent, but it's still an SVG

and they're supposed to be really small too compared to regular bitmaps from what i've read, i might be wrong

it makes sense though.

Speaking of vectors, this is my first attempt with Inkscape :D

Click it for a bigger version (with background so you can see it)

That odd flatness in the middle is because i mistakenly used two points instead of one like i did for the area above

Apparently GIMP doesn't support SVGs. Is there a program just for down-scaling an image and saving it as a .svg? I don't want to have to download InkScape just to save images as .svgs.
