This would actually be very fun to have.  I could see myself browsing it extensively just to increase my knowledge of different design approaches. I support this
Soooo much this

I added a poll. If 100 people say yes, I'll message Badspot or another admin to show that there is quite a bit of support for this suggestion.

Hey look.  I just saw 100, but then I realized it was the percent; I was the first voter.

Woops, I didn't read that part. It's good to see that you agree with me.

I don't think 100 people will vote.

Contact them anyway

20 isn't enough. If it hits 30, I will.

This encourages unoriginality, but I guess it is helpful for new people, and seeing/getting new ideas.

I have a general discussion topic I made with this sort of idea in mind- Things you may not have known about Blockland
A bunch of interesting little mini-tutorials on how to do stuff

Most people come up with techniques on their own, and learn things on their own. But this would be great for new people, especially if the Shadows and Shaders Update attracts a lot more people.

I'm not really sure how to word what my exact thoughts are, but with actual Legos, there are entire sites devoted to just building techniques. And it's not an entirely new idea to copy other people's techniques. Blockheads have been doing it for ages by simply joining someone's server, observing different elements of the build, and then replicating them in their own builds. The difference is that we'll have all these techniques in one easy-to-access area. And yes, the same technique for a nice window might be used over and over again, but the result will be that we have nicer-looking builds overall.

Anyway, we've reached 30 yes's to only 4 no's, so I'll shoot Badspot a PM.

I can't imagine there being enough posts on this subject to create a successful thread, let alone a sub-forum.
