Author Topic: All sounds in first person are extremely loud  (Read 809 times)

For some reason whenever I am in first person and do the /alarm emote, or sit right next to a brick playing music/sound, it rapes my speakers and is extremely scratchy and loud.

The weird thing is that this has never happened on my desktop and it sounds normal, yet on my Laptop it is extremely loud and ear-raping.

Here is a video of the problem as posted in a similar thread...

What is going on?

Can somebody please help me?

I think this might relate to the sound-fading problem, where you have the audio options set for a four-speaker system when you only have two speakers.

This is happening to me aswell.

Happening to me too, It's even louder when you crouch.

Yea, I've just been dealing with this. I got 2 ''solutions''.

1. Don't use headphones. They are not good to you and may damage you, if they are on too loud.

2. Just lower the sound and test again. Leave it when it doesn't scratch you in the eye anymore.

I don't know a fix to this. But i gave you opinions ^

too bad my house has hardly any closed areas and is always very loud with football games on TV and people clunking dishes around in the sink washing them

lowering the sound has no effect, if i put it to where it wasnt loud i wouldnt even hear anything else
