That's because there isn't any proper lighting yet, the textures aren't 100% to correct scale or location. It isn't meant to be in game as a model even though it eventually will be. Oh and there's some specularity in the materials.

That's pretty close to what you can see o,o I'm assuming you didn't do the outdoor areas and just stayed at what was visible from the floor, right?

Correct. There is no exterior. The interior is fully modeled and textured apart from the secrets which are not visible. In fact that reminds me I need model the tree. I think I'll do two versions one with the original tree and one with a realistic tree.

I still need work on the lighting. I have no idea how Badspot originally placed the lamps since the shadow locations and highlights don't match up at all.

I feel it would be a bit unnecessary as there wouldn't be much to look at.

I would want to see this as a static shape, where you can build on the floor as that is the slate, but the rest from the carpet up is the static shape.

Sure but you couldn't build on the bed or any other surfaces except the floor.
