You cannot use cigarettes as an example of stupidity. Some of the smartest people in the world have smoked cigarettes. You seem to forget that the whole "say no to smoking" drug ads are new things. No earlier than the 90s. No one ever knew that they could be bad for you. And lastly, my grandfather has smoked since he was 12 and is now 87. No cancer. Completely healthy. It all really depends on the person.

What the hell? No. If "when something pisses you off, destroy it" is the message you got, there is something wrong. Yeah the laptop goes to waste, but he doesn't care. He could probably go out and buy ten more laptops. He obviously has his own computer, the laptop was something he gave to his daughter. There isn't really a difference between "I'm taking this away forever" and "I'm going to destroy this", because either way his spoiled brat of a daughter isn't going to get it back until she buys one herself.
