Author Topic: [MEGATHREAD] Test Drive Unlimited 2 - I guess it's about time or whatever idk  (Read 3757 times)

hey guys this is a really fun racing game

SO WHAT ABOUT THIS GAME THING

WELL forgetERS

This game is a bundle of fun, that's what it is. Test Drive Unlimited 2 was developed by Eden Games (France) and published by Atari, released in February 2011. The game was pretty hyped up due to the first game's popularity. TDU2 is a MMORG, or Massively Multiplayer Online Racing Game, except this an't no World of Warfriendry. This is forgetin' stellar graphics, awesome cars and goddamn massive land to explore.

The game is played in a good ol' place in Spain, called Ibiza, it's an island that seems little but is actually really forgetin' huge. When you start off you get a stuffty little car to start with but after doing some races and stuff you'll get hella cash and be able to buy better more awesome cars. Even a better house. And you can change dat furniture, bro.

WARNING: SIMILAR TO JUST CAUSE 2, THE STORYLINE SUCKS HUGE HAIRY BALLS AND YOU SHOULD IGNORE IT AND JUST PLAY THE GAME

... TESS WINTORY IS A MASSIVE BITCH

I mean honestly, french people developed it, which means the voice acting is going to suck for sure. The lines are aweful and the character animations look horrific but THAT'S NOT WHAT THE GODDAMN GAME IS ABOUT SO GROW THE forget UP AND IGNORE IT YOU WHINY PRICKS.

Anyway.

So they'res a leveling system. 63 levels tops, and it's pretty easy to level up at first. You start off, you get your little stuffbox to drive, you can explore the entire island-

And I mean

THE WHOLE island

... Accurate to the square mile. Bro, you can look at google maps with this stuff and still play to find your way around. That's how damn accurate it is.

Then after that, you hit level 10, where you can mosey on down to the good ol' airport and buy yourself a ticket to forgetIN' OAHU, the island of Hawaii.

WHICH IS ALSO ACCURATE TO THE SQUARE MILE.

Bro, that's forgetin'  3,000 kilometers, or 1,864 miles. THIS stuff AIN'T NO FORZA richardSPORTS.

And yeah, you can use a steering wheel, keyboard, joypad, whatever bloats your float. Driving physics are really accurate and each car is a different experience. They're detailed, models are lovey,

THE ISLANDS ARE love TO LOOK AT.

No but seriously, by the time you've gotten into the game and you're cruising down an Ibiza freeway you'll be hooked, brah.

ANYWAY ON TO THE CAR research

Some screenshots, of ingame, real-time.

This is a driving meetup, where you can actually get out of your $300,000 car and talk to other players and race and compare cars n' stuff

Offroading is a big aspect and new feature in the game, it's extremely fun and there are tons and tons of dirt trails throughout the game.

There IS car damage. It's just cosmetic and it sucks but it's still a neat feature to have. But it also sucks because it ruins your car.

In all honesty Ibiza is huge to begin with. But even then you can fly back to Hawaii like the old game and chill there.

AND you can now add your own custom decals, which are forgetin' awesome, to the cars. Here's an example.

ANYWAY WHO PLAYS THIS stuff

MackTheHunter - Lives in O'ahu. Ferrari 458 Italia, McLaren MP4-12C, Caterham CSR-260, Ferrari California, Mercedes SLS AMG, Nissan GT-R.
TomTheGeek - Lives in Ibiza. Alfa Romeo Brera, Audi TTS Coupe, Lotus Esprite.
Eksi - Lives in O'ahu AND Ibiza. I've SEEN him driving: McLaren MP4-12C, Ariel Atom, Jaguar E-Type, Aston Martin V8 Vantage. He has more.
Cyanian - Just recently bought the game. List your stuff, bro.
LeetZero - Ibiza and O'ahu. Hummer H3, Ford GT, Lancia Delta Integrale evolutzione and Volswagen Golf(6) GTI.

ADD YOURSELF TO THE LIST IF YOU PLAY.

OTHER NEAT STUFF, VIDEOS, GAMEPLAY STUFF

If you like immersion, you can pull off easy head-tracking in the game with a cheap webcam and some free software.

Hummer H3, Ford GT, Lancia Delta Integrale evolutzione and Volswagen Golf(6) GTI.
LeetZero; Ibiza and O'ahu.
Steering wheel.

tdu2 is stuff compared to the original tdu1

godawful voice acting, pointless "the sims" stuff, cars handle like trains now, proper wheel support is non-existent, terrible servers.

Wheel support is alright now. They added a menu for it and it's a bit better.

TDU was glorious. But with the amount of exploration space now it's fantastic. C:

is it for 360? no way in hell can my computer run this.
