Author Topic: Terrain Bricks  (Read 14466 times)

this is what I made my mod for :c
i didn't have the anyone-can-build-on-them thing though

Can you post some sample images?

Essentially, an add-on that won't ever have a purpose.

Yeah, they save. Terrain bricks are owned by BLID 2, and Blockland saves the BLID of the brick.

I got the first download that's w/o permissions mod. Now the issue is when I save it says I don't have BLID 2's permission, when terrainBuild is enabled, and I can't even place terrain bricks on it. This is after I saved it and loaded it the next day. I doubt the saving part here works.

When I delete the bricks that aren't working, and place new bricks; those new bricks work. That was just my way of clarifying it's the load/save issue and not the same one I was having earlier.

I'm not really clear how you get BL_ID 2's trust

I wanted to figure that out myself, I was also wondering why hosts didn't have permission to edit anyone on their server's bricks. Hosts can use the Destructo Wand already what difference does it make?

?.. With V21 this is highly useful.

I put a tumor on getTrustLevel()

Elaborate.
It won't be used, it won't be done this way.

This is a poor attempt by you at trying to make a popular add-on (doing a terrible job and rushing it), it's a very sad attempt.

What matters is that he actually made an attempt. I for one am proud of this.

Well, it appears to me that people like this and it works, so...

You've made a pointless add-on, that's the problem.

We just learned about this future change 2 weeks ago. You have no idea how it will be implemented, and your add-on certainly won't have any part in it.

You know the problem with it? Public trusted terrain is useless right now. First, it's not yet fully efficient, and second, the purpose of this is destroyed with people building their own terrain. There aren't even repeating capabilities yet.

That's why this add-on is premature.

I'm going to guess that kalph made something almost exactly like this but was holding onto it until the big update, but now is foiled by your early release.
