Heat-Seeking Rocket?

I'm no good at modding or anything like that, but I came up with an idea today.
Could someone script something like a seeking rocket? Like it finds the nearest moving object and goes after it for a certain amount of time?

Is this possible, and if so, could someone make one?

Aloshi has a remote rocket, probably the closest you'll get to that.

I think a heat-seeking rocket would be perfect for dogfights and such.

Anyways, back on topic, does anyone think they could script a heat-seeking rocket?

I don't feel like learning torque, let alone to the point where I can have a rocket scan a cone in front of it and try to follow the nearest object.  Doesn't sound simple.

Maybe some way to do lock-on?

I understand that this would be extremely difficult and require a ton of skill.

If anyone is up to the challenge, though, that would be awesome.
