Author Topic: Blockland Windows and Ubuntu Comparison  (Read 1947 times)

Windows was running Blockland with a res. of 1600x900
Linux (Ubuntu) was running Blockland with a res of 1024x768 (I can't make it full screen on Linux)
To see how many FPS you get on Blockland type this in the console: metrics(fps);

Windows

Linux

-----------------------------------------
Windows

Linux

Although considering Linux being free, it is very good at running games and is RIGHT behind Windows. The reason why windows is the winner here is because when Badspots map was loading and finished loading, there was less on Windows than on Linux.

 I may be doing a comparison with Mac and windows, this time both of them will be ran at full screen and the same res.

Very interesting, I see.

Hmm.

1600x900 takes nearly double the video power of 1024x768.

Be glad I did somewhat of a comparison. Either way I cant get it on fullscreen because it wont detect 1600x900, the highest I could go was 1024x768.

I just realized I couldve made the other Blockland on windows 1024x768, should I make a new comparison?

yes

doesn't matter what numbers you got, just as long as they are the same

Just saying, the comparison isn't accurate as the Windows part has to render nearly twice as many pixels as opposed to the ubuntu part.

I SHALL MAKE A NEW ONE! Im going to lock this up.

Enable fullscreen and FORCE it to go to 1600x900 by: setRes(1600,900);
