that's definitely possible if you ask me
where did the aliens come from though?

dont matter. its an answer that answers itself if we ever meet them.
till then, i rather not believe in a god

yes :D unless a deity shows themselves
Wat

infallible means not able to be proven wrong, a diety showing up wouldn't change that

oh I believe that if a deity shows themselves, I'll logically have to believe in their existence.
inversely, if we somehow create evidence of god never existing, I'll logically believe in atheism.

im sure a deity would take more offence to you worshiping the wrong god, then not one at all.
believing for the sake of "just in case" isnt a wise idea

this
I'm sure a god would promote the idea of knowledge and logic

The point is that it is impossible to prove 100% that there is no higher being, thus religion is impossible to be proven wrong, so there's no reason for people to argue over it.

It's also impossible to prove that there IS a higher being ;)

Which is why there is so much confusion out there.

aliens put us here :D
Higher power? Aliens. They're hiding under the Earth's crust. Once we have wiped out all fossil fuels, they will rise up against us and take Earth from us. We must do what we can to stop them when this time is upon us.

There is a higher power than us, and they are aliens from another planet or galaxy, but they did not create us. They want to destroy us. We need to fight back! Wipe them out from existance! We need to find them before the find us!

YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE ME

Sorry to keep pestering you, but you are confusing knowing with believing. If a god shows itself, you will now know it exists, and, if we prove gods do not exist, you will know they do not. This isn't faith but knowledge. Again, your belief leans one way or the other, whether or not you can come to terms with that, and your stance on the knowledge of such beliefs is Agnostic.

Yeah, sorry. I meant know.
And I really don't lean to either. :o

you cant disprove the existance of a god, but you can (as has been going on for long time now) prove everything god's have claimed to have done as natural or manmade.

discrediting a "god" is very good indeed

and even if a god did show his face and prove his existence. i would much rather prove we didnt need him for anything.
