The alarm emote is really loud and low-quality in first person.
This is really annoying since every time I use the alarm emote I get a dose of ear rape.

This did not happend to my old computer, so don't tell me it's not possible to fix.

The whole issue is that the sound "spawns" where the camera is. The underlying issue isn't very fixable, but you could probably try tweaking around your sound options to help a bit.

I made a topic about this too a few weeks ago. I can't stand how loud everything is in first person. It literally rapes my ears.

Then don't use a headset or earphones, or just lower the volume.

I always use the alarm emote to check who's using a headset.

It's not headphones. It happens through all kinds of speakers.

Lowering the volume is just stupid because if you put it down to where the alarms dont even completely rape your ears, you cant even hear anything else.

heh, i put it on a loop every 5 seconds for fun once, it drove everybody insane

also, i thought it was supposed to be super loud like that in first person
it is being spawned right at the camera...

Couldn't you like change the eyeOffset a little higher? So when you are in first person the sound is a little higher than usual? that should work.

Yes, but that would have to be done with a server mod.

Alarm i first person was fine when I had that computer.
