What if you restricted editing to a few select forums like modding and clan forums where the original post will most likely need editing? Others like help, general discussion, ect stay as they are now.

I often make mistakes in my typing and don't notice them until after i posted so i quickly edit it to remove the mistakes, now that i can't im doomed to be flamed off the forums by pricks that find it fun to exploit others mistakes. :/
