There's a lot of good points there, but unfortunately, I guess terrains support alone overcomplicated Blocklands code. If there would be any way in the future to bring it back, I'd gladly trade the new shadows for it. But the complicated code won't allow for updates in general, so I guess it has to go. :/

It seems to me it will be exactly like slate is now, only with more dynamic shadows.

Yeah, Terrain is good for certain things. But then again, we are not going to die if the change comes.

I personally have always hated the terrain because we can get so much more detail with bricks.  I don't know why people are complaining so much.
