There was an event where you could get a pair of dragon wings for buying energy with real money. apparently someone doesn't want the certain color so he decided to sell it. I bought it. All items are permanent, except for a few event items (santa hats/halloween hats, valentine hats)

real money is not needed, it'll just make things go faster.

To keep a cycle in the game you use up 100 energy, the one you accumulate daily, to get enough crowns to buy 100 energy, the one that isnt accumulative

Sadly it isn't. You may be able to find some in the auction house, but they're probably too costly to buy.
