Author Topic: Spiral Knights - I got it :D (YES I'M LATE)  (Read 15165 times)

let's be honest
most of us only downloaded it for tf2 items

i did but it took to long to get them :(
i didn't even know i could get the tf2 hat from it until i had it in tf2

You practically HAVE to spend money to get to higher levels.
Untrue, you just need to get 67?? or 68?? crowns and purchase Crystal Energy, i don't mind this because i get around 900 - 1000 crowns per mission (if they include multiple levels that is)

I'm about to get the Might Cobalt Helm that i've been waiting so long to get :D

Spiral Knights is good for a while, then you realize how stuffty it is because of its endless amount of bugs and terrible hitdetection.

EDIT: Oh, and overpowered enemies.

bahahah, no.
you need about 6500-7000 crowns to purchase 100 crystal energy these days
so yeah, it's sorta roblox but then even worse because it isn't even fun

because it isn't even fun
I find it fun :c

But one thing i must nitpick, i'm trying to upgrade my Cutter because it's only two stars and kind of weak at this point, the Wiki shows the Striker as sold by Basil in recipe form, he doesn't have it (in the Bazaar and the Clockworks Terminal before the Moorcraft Manor) and by Quillion as the weapon itself in the Bazaar but he doesn't have it either

I have the materials needed for both the Striker and the Hunting Blade that i hope to get one day, yet i can't find those weapons nor their recipes anywhere but i must continue to use the Cutter series because it's been so helpful to me, it attacks up to 5 times and attacks twice in one swing so that 10 strikes total and it's charge attack is a really cool combo strike

Spiral Knights is fun at the beginning because Tier 1 isn't a pure torture chamber.
Tier 2 and 3 are the most frustrating pieces of stuff I've ever been through in a game.
Why?
Here's a list.

1. Terrible hitdetection
This happened to me when I still played.
I tried to hit some sort of bat thing when it was insanely close to me and in front of me, didn't even scratch it.
It then moved all the way to the other corner, performed an attack, and it hit me and killed me.
Note that I was still standing at the other corner.

Ironclaw Munitions factory is probably the easiest boss level of them all.
This would have been true if it wasn't for those damn rockets.
Sure I would not have minded them at all if they didn't hit me every time while they didn't hit me at all, but according to this game's stuffty programming I apparently DID get hit and they kill me.

2. Terrible bugs
I often got this glitch where I would randomly teleport a little to the left and to the right.
As you can guess, this isn't the most practical thing that could happen while passing, for example, spike rooms in Royal Jelly Palace, rockets in Ironclaw Munitions Factory, and passing EVERY loving OBSTACLE BECAUSE THE ENTIRE LEVEL ITSELF IS AN OBSTACLE IN FIRESTORM CITADEL.

I would also get terrible lag from this game while other games with better graphics could easily run.

3. Terrible gameplay
Oh yay, I've cleared the Royal Jelly Palace!
Now I only need to do it 523 times again in order to gain enough money to trade it for ce for an insanely high price so I can gather 1600 ce so I can create 4 star items so I can proceed to the next tier!

Oh yay, I've gained a recipe for a 4 star item! Now I only need to pay a ridiculously high price so I can gain this item that isn't even useful to begin with!

Oh yay, I got to the boss of Firestorm Citadel, a really hard level that is frustrating as hell! I only have to hit him 5030523 times with the strongest weapons in order to unveil his weakness which I only have to hit 60316712642 times to make him go to his second form where I only have to hit him 5252623673 times in order to win which will get me 3 boss tokens out of the 40 that I need for something that's a little useful!

For one it isnt a complete game, and if you don't have patience join Regulith in the Lobby room. If you go straight into a game you shouldn't just have an easy time through! I'm a tier 4, and it took me 2 weeks to get there.  Also, it doesn't have bad hit detection or random teleporting, you probably just have a slow computer. If you're just going to nitpick things about this game that you yourself can't get over, maybe this just isn't the game for you. What you call "Terrible Gameplay" I call "The cycle of gain" which is about in EVERY loving GAME in the first place.

Never mind, I confirmed your impatience from the Adorna Adventure topic. This isn't your game.

I told a bunch of my friends about it. They say it is laggy as stuff but it's probably cause their computer sucks.

Spiral Knights is a Java game, I usually had problems with Java before

1. Tier 4 doesn't exist.
2. I have patience. I just don't like playing a buggy game to get useless items that don't make a difference at all, except for the weapons.
3. "I would also get terrible lag from this game while other games with better graphics could easily run."
4. I'm not saying this game should be insanely easy, I'm just saying all the enemies are really overpowered and the hitdetection is terrible, because the hitdetection actually IS terrible.
5. It's funny how you seem to judge me from how I act in a topic that has been dead for like, two months now?
Do you really need more reasons why I quit the adventure?

1. Tier 4 doesn't exist.
I believe he's referring to his items being Tier 4

Perhaps it is because certain people tend to not change for a long time, like maybe he assumes you haven't changed at all in those two months

I'm not sure how easily one can change their personality though

If you get better at dodging and shielding, your armor wouldn't really mean much except for maybe the damage bonuses.

I don't mean to come off rude but I don't like people who nitpick and have little patience. I not only judge you on that topic but other topics. I treat everyone the same way until I find out how they are, and I find you to be one of my dislikes. That does not mean that I find all your opinions wrong though, Yosher. Also when I get it to work you can TOTLY play with us masterlegduds

let's be honest

i did but it took to long to get them :(
I only got the hat and then uninstalled it.
Was there more? :o

Most of the annoying enemies have been nerfed, if you have problems with a particular kind, start getting corresponding resists.
