Make the main game take place in New York City and the surrounding 30 miles of land.

Now to stem off of the subject, they should tell what happened to the other countries. When you consider that the west is thriving with life in NV, consider what places like Indonesia or Sweden are like. Most likely flooded as the ice caps were probably destroyed, but there would still be a lot of land left on them.
