The Raid on Ranger's Blade
The Ranger's Blade turns on the distress signal as it was attacked by the alien menace. Through the dark depths of space ARES ship Argos Rho detects the signal. Communication's states "Sir, Ranger's Blade is sending off the distress transmitter. What should we do?" The captain replies "call in Battleship Mercury for assistance. This is going to be one hell of a fight!" Mercury hearing the news activates a hyperspace jump to get into position for the plan. The ship was a Meridus fleet. Part of the Meridian horde!
Mercury arrives on the seen to see the Ranger's Blade being raided! Of course the plan being explained to the captain and marines aboard the ship the assault began for one of the most epic battles! The port side rocket pods are fired off! The rockets hit the upper starboard section of the Meridus ship bringing damage to the fuel batteries! The meridus ship leaning onto where the hull was struck do to the artificial gravity now turns to confront the dreadnought!
At the precise moment of conflict from behind the seen comes out of a new portal Argos Rho! After completing the hyperspace jump it moves in on the Ranger's Blade. The ships connect via airlock section and the wounded are moved on to the Argos! But things are not all so pretty, Now Mercury is under attack! Each of the four front cannons firing and reloading at the fastest speed possible! Engineering work at the fasted speed possible to try to keep the ever breaking down shield generator up and running! The second Argos Rho sends the message of "Passengers are on board." the strongest weapon there is activated.
The malestorm cannon, it would have been fired earlier but it was to close to the Ranger's Blade and the explosion would have most likely killed its crew! Now with enough room for firing it is; charged, prepped, and fired. The meridus ship cracks like an egg, burns to a cinder, and is never seen again except for some debris. Now the two ships, Argos Rho and Battleship Mercury make the jump together to the nearest repair docking station. Another battle won. Another day for the fleet.
