That's a loving stupid ideology to take and you know it. The only reason you even entertain this lunatic's i had to stop here and laugh for a minute ideas is because you desperately uphold your reputation of being kind and neutral when really all you're doing is mulling over the arguments of a man who has no desire to actually convince anyone of anything, but instead wants to seem edgy and profound by disagreeing with everything. seventhsandwich assaults people's basis of being, whoa ho! watch out brothers

Others don't have the right to say stupid stuff because they are human. When an organism grows a mutation that inhibits it's ability to function or reproduce, it's killed off by natural selection. some say war is natural selection in overdrive. we're just ~weedin' em out~ The only reason this kind of stuff is tolerable is because of the free nature of the internet. Luckily for us Taboo is an English teacher and will most likely never account to anything significant in American politics. pffhahaha

And what? You think it's not sadistic to disparage the efforts of a filmmaker trying to build awareness for a criminal who is manipulating literally thousands of children to try and build his own theocratic society through bloodshed? i'm pretty sure he already said he agrees with you, sorry you're too busy screaming into your pillow to read the words in front of you. It is. Taboo might not be mutilating the people himself, but by ignoring their problems he is contributing to it. uh. no? then the same can be said for every person on earth for every "crCIA" that has ever happened lol

You'd think that an English teacher would be able to create a better argument than make personal attacks and catchy slogans that don't even target the purpose of my post.

I'd hate to be your student.

if we nuke africa....

the joke is that you're doing the exact same thing waha !!
my students lurve me

This guy comes up every couple of months and its pretty annoying, I mean we're doing stuff to stop him so whats the point of going on about him still. I guess I just don't like the people that get really involved in it but they have also accomplished their goal of getting him to be an issue with the US.

If I insult you and still convey what I'm trying to argue, I'm not doing what you're doing.

Maybe you should spend more than 40 seconds reading my posts before you respond.

Or he thinks your argument isn't very good so he didn't put much effort into his reply, knowing yours would crumble.
this is just my 2cents im not taking sides or bashing anybody im just stating facts

I dont understand why they make all the Posters and stickers about him look like Presidential Campaign Promo stuffs. It confuses me

That isn't a valid argumentative tactic.

because they are stupid as forget at making add campaigns. it's like marketing "new tyson chicken breast, now with 64 bit color!"

Listen closely to the part about making him "famous" then you'll get it.

The only reason I was upholding Taboo's 'argument' (Though I was really holding up a general philosophy more than anything.)  was because he held a valid point and you shot it down quickly because you thought that it was sadistic and because of his own individual actions. I'm not trying to make an issue or convince you of anything, just presenting it in a way that maybe you'll understand better or accept more from a 3rd party.

My own beliefs aside, the point of view, at least that I'm talking about, is that what happens with one's immediate experiences can be more important than worldly happenings. And, although they both have the same impact, a more lasting effect and a stronger change can be made locally better than internationally (more often than not). This isn't unreasonable, since most humans can only measure by what is in front of them. It also isn't unreasonable to act more so with local interests than worldly interests. Most people do, anyway, whether they realize it or not. A person is usually more prone to act in interest of their own home than the land of somebody's across the world that they never met.

And although it would have probably been more consistent with the ideal had Taboo just left this thread be, at the same time you shouldn't dismiss the entire thought because he happens to have a derivative of it. Disagree with it, fine, but try to understand it as well. We learn better that way, I think. It helps develop our own views if we know those around us...

you obviously did not watch the video or did not listen close enough. They give a much more valid reason than yours.

That's a really kind way of saying, "We're going to watch your children be mutilated and forced into combat because they are far away from us."

And yeah Uganda totally can solve terrorism on a local scale when their best feature film looks like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BymeLkZ7GqM

i'm talking about the adds where they put his face on stuff and write "kony 2012" i watched the video and i understand it fully, but i think that they're going about the silent awareness all wrong.
