Roller Coaster Tycoon Deluxe - Help with Higher Resolutions?

Recently, Azurite has been putting up Lets Plays on Roller Coaster Tycoon Deluxe. I decided to redownload the game, having had it when I was little, and had some fun trying a save editor on a pre-made park. Once I decided to start building things, however, I realized how annoying the resolution was and looked up how to fix it. I found these two pages - Link 1 & Link 2, but ran into problems:

• This only edits the Full Screen resolution. I play Windowed for various reasons, so I need the resolution to apply for Windowed Mode.
• More serious, I can't even find the hex code they list on the pages. I use the same program they talk about, put the code they give into the search, but I get an error when I check for it.

Could anyone help with this?

Why on earth wouldn't you be playing RCT2, which is not so much a sequel as the same exact game only tuned up to be more fun and work better.

Well, azurite has been Lets Playing the first one, so that's what I decided to do. I think I also had the second one... Anyway, he responded to my comment on his video on how he did it:

Auto Window Manager has an Add Rule option to do certain things every time a program is opened, but it doesn't appear to have open options for resolution. Maybe you can add it manually to the rules.dat?

Demian, I linked that in the OP. It doesn't work. I got it working, but now my problem is RCT2 - doesn't seem possible to run it windowed without special methods.
