Bump

Child: Tell me another story of the Shepard.
Stargazer: Did you buy the DLC?
Child: No
Stargazer: Go to bed.

The new endings do a really good job of explaining everything. One of my biggest qualms with the original ending was how Shepard didn't question the catalyst at all. In the extended endings he asks exactly what we're all thinking (Mainly who made him and wtf is going on).

While I still chose destroy ending just in case Indoc. theory is true I think it was actually a really decent choice anyway.

Part of me feels like they just made the endings... happier. That is what the majority of people wanted. I don't think people could cope with the series ending so harshly in the original endings. Bioware did sort of give in and change the endings slightly so everyone was less... devastated after the explosions.

One thing that still freaks me out is that the black, wobbly trees and shrubs from your dreams appear in the ending before you go up the beam. That still freaks me out and means that there's a small chance that it's a dream sequence still. I was hoping Bioware would make it clear whether the ending is definitely real or a dream but they left that small detail in and I'm not going to forget about it.

Also, wtf destroy ending STILL has Shepard waking up in a pile of stone rubble like in the original. Seriously Bioware what are you trying to tell us. It's like they're trying to further explain the logic behind the actual endings, they try to reinforce why it's real and then they just add these little things to mess your view on it up. If they had removed the hallucination trees and removed the scene of Shepard somehow SURVIVING the destroy ending (Literally impossible if what the Catalyst says is true) then I would be completely fine with believing the ending but I just can't help but still think that Indoctrination Theory (Or something similair to it, just a dream sequence of sorts) is the true ending to this series. But that's impossible right because they aren't making anymore games... Right?

There's a hidden refusal ending if you shoot the catalyst instead of walking to one of the other choices in the extended cut. And he replies with "So be it" in Harbinger's voice. Way to disprove the indoc. theory and then give MORE reasons to believe it.

Okay, this wasn't too horrible. I did put the extended cut off for a while, I was so afraid of disappointment (even though I didn't have any expectations, it was just a nagging feeling).

I'm mostly okay with this, but I agree with this:

I agree with completely.

Along with this, I also hate how in the destroy ending where Shepard's name is not put on the memorial obviously leaves it open for interpretation. Many things leave the endings open for interpretation.

Open. For interpretation. What the forget? Okay, now I'm fed up of being lied to, this was supposed to be closure. "Provide closure" Exact words. Anyone else iritated by this?

Bioware can't spell Closure.

Yeah when I read about the extended cut I was thinking that this was either:

1. All of the plot holes presented by players being filled/explained in some way.

2. Shepard waking up on earth after being hit by the laser beam and after finishing his/her dream sequence.

This did neither and left us with many of the same questions un answered (and some new ones opened too like the sign not being put up on the memorial)

Does your wife like to play with you or is she not a gamer?

Glad that I bought ME 1 & 2 during the summer sale.

Those are now two of my favorite games

Does your wife like to play with you or is she not a gamer?
Do you even know what that whole thing is about or are you just hitching onto the bandwagon?

I need ME2.
I just finished 1 now, <got the Council killed, appointed Udina as new leader of Council, bad ending.>
Romanced Liara, quite the renegade, soldier, rather happy with how he turned out.

Figured I would bump with this because I killed a Cerberus trooper against a wall this morning and he posed like this.

I get sad when I think about mass effect now because I've come to realize just how poorly Mass Effect 3 was designed. The scripting was pretty awesome at some parts (Ranoch) but fell so short at the end.

:C

So Leviathan was released, haven't played it yet.
