as in, a box that turns an image URL into an avatar

let's say I wanted

as my avatar

I take the image's URL (http://puu.sh/k1AD), go into my forum profile information options, and paste the URL into the URL-to-avatar box in avatar options
I press "save changes" and tada, I have

as my avatar

Would be nice, but I wouldn't imagine saving and uploading being that hard either.

You can save on Desktop then delete it right after?

This feature is already in the forum software, but Badspot removed it. Dunno why.

Maybe it was the result of the shrunken images?

Probably because it removes a step that would help people not forget up their own avatars and then complain about it. If you have to save it, you might notice the scale is off and such.
