These comics are usually supposed to be funny, and when you're speaking the truth through the form of a comic, it's usually funny.

It's implied that this was to be funny.  The comic isn't true in a very profound way, either.  It's just "oh yeah you do kinda wake up before good things in a dream.  Great observation, buddy."  So unless a comic about the truth is telling the truth in a funny way or telling the truth in a profound way, it's a pretty stupid comic.
