I'm not sure, but make sure to re-read my post, I just updated it. All of my AKG headphones that I've ever picked up have been from a warehouse because I order them in bulk.

I would suggest a Turtle Beach headset. The ones I have are 5.1 surround sound+mic and it's cheaper than that.

Do I sound like I'm raging? I have had this headset for about 2 years, if it was "a piece of stuff headset that looks cool," don't you think I would have bought a new headset? I hear no static unless I turn the volume on my headset all the way up which I never need to do. I'm sorry the ones you tried sucked, but the one I have works just fine and does what it is supposed to.

That's exactly where your problem is. Just because it works fine doesn't mean it's actually good. For the pricetag that it has it should suck your richard for christ sake.
