because it makes you and him look bad.
I'd rather deal with making myself look bad over lying to my boss.
then you are bad at business.
you really should have turned the phone off for the meeting
Or you've just not matured to the point where you can acknowledge that people would prefer honesty over satisfaction. I'd rather someone be honest to me and tell me what I don't want to hear, rather than sugar coat it and make it stuffty.good job reading the entire OP.
good job reading the entire OP.
because saying "yeah, bad dad's car broke down and he called to say he's ok" and having your boss go " oh, k." is totally worse than saying "my dad called to tell me a tribal joke" and almost getting your ass fired. if i was your boss and you left a meeting to have your dad tell you a tribal joke, i would be mad at you too.
good job not thinking of turning your phone off before you walked into a meetingseriously it's your fault for not taking all necessary precautions
good job realizing that he doesn't give a forget if you're texting during meetings.
he wasn't actually mad, lol. he was just a little upset that I did that. plus, I'm not trying to lie to someone who employs me, it just sounds like a terribad idea.good job realizing that he doesn't give a forget if you're texting during meetings.
you had the choice of turning your phone off so you wouldn't have outside distractions or you could have left it on and risked this stuff happening to you, and now it has.
and that is why he threatened to fire you?
