Author Topic: School internet restrictions  (Read 3420 times)

Do you have M86 or something?

Yes... I wanna know how to get the goddamn password to actually get to sites I want to go onto with my tablet.

The forums are blocked at school now. Just started last week.

I hate everything my school does.

A reason is supposed to be oh idk.. a reason? They block things for Exception so you get angry over why they are blocking it.

the filters at my school blocked the school's website

That happened to us 17 times this semester alone.

Also everything is blocked because the person who is high up in controlling what goes in the the computer lab is anti-internet. Why does she get to do that job then?
Complain about it.

Complain about it.

Yea like my school listens to anything anybody says.

Our school only really blocks research sites.
YouTube was blocked then espb (school distract people) realized how stupid it was and no body liked it.

Have you ever tried to tell them?
Complain to your headmaster or school governors over how the head of IT is essentially preventing you from studying because of her bias.

Just don't tell them that you want the internet unblocked so you can watch YouTube videos or go on Computer Games and Forums.

I tried to look at something for PlayStation and it was blocked because it discussed games. Ima try the forums tomorrow and take a screen pic of it.

Most of what I do on my school network is through a proxy I set up on my own website. Trying to do "Independant Computer Study", researching programming topics, when 99% of all message boards of any kind are blocked is just a little hard to do. >>

If I was the headteacher at school I would just unblock all games at breaktimes.

My school's Internet only blocks deviantArt and a select few other sites. YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, BLF, Tumblr, etc. are all available.

My school has iPads from a fund they got, so they block alot of sites but basicly their to stupid to relize to block https:// so now I can get through any blocked site.

What do you know?

Badspot set up HTTPS.
