Don't most premade computers and laptops come with a year or two insurance included in the price?
Tri did say that he has only owned it for 14 months, if it came with 2 years of insurance he could get a replacement, right?

No.  With apple they give you a one year limited policy of return of any newly purchased mac.  He has owned it 14 months.  The only way he could have a warranty if he had purchased their 3 year warranty plan then separately apple care on the side for phone tech support.

I stopped reading after I saw that you informed us of your weight training.  It really didn't matter to the tale of how you stupidly an expensive item like that to school.

As much as I'd love to take another laptop, I got this macbook pro in October of 2011. To put it simply, I've only had it for 5 months or less.

Idk where you guys got 14 months. Anyway, I had purchased apple care and that carried over to this laptop (i bought it a while back) so I'm covered for in-store care, technically my over-the-phone care is gone but they still help me.

People didn't have the full story, and were criticizing me when my reasoning for having the computer at school was perfectly justified. I'm assuming that's what you meant, but I don't really understand what you said.

Hold up, aren't apple products like, expensive enough without paying for customer service as well?

People like apple products because they're so good damn dumbed down and "shiny"

Pretty much.

But thieves like shiny things.

You guys forget that the majority of people who own macs are born into a "Mac family" who would cringe at the thought of getting anything but a Mac right? Mostly for security reasons, because some work in jobs that need it.
