Author Topic: Decent games to play on a netbook, or small indie games  (Read 757 times)

Got a new netbook, need some games that can run on it besides Blockland and M&B. Or just some small indie games.

also, minecraft!!1

dungeons of dredmor
jamestown
cave story
gratuitous space battles

Minecraft doesn't run that smoothly, already tried. And no, it doesn't have to be free.

Already played cave story, but will check out the others.

every half life 1 engine game

dwarf fortress
Forgot to mention I already have it, got bored a while ago, might start playing it again.
every half life 1 engine game
Too large of a file.

Diablo 2 is an oldie but goodie and can probably run fine on a netbook.

The Classics:
Doom 1 and 2 (Get a source port)
Quake 1, 2 and 3 (Get a source port)
Unreal
Unreal Tournament
Call of Duty 1 and United Offense
Deus Ex
X-COM: UFO Defense
SimCity 4

A few Rogue likes:
NetHack
DoomRL
IVAN
Brogue

And a few other classics that are usually a pain to get in working order on modern systems, But usually worth it (All of these but the Carmageddon's are on GoG.com FYI):
Interstate '76
Carmageddon 1 and 2
Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri
Red Baron 3D
Total Annihilation
Outcast

ProspectorRL
Cataclysm Rougelike
You have to fertilize the egg
Fraxy
Dwarf Fortress
