Author Topic: My cat just tried to eat chocolate/Carolcat invasion (Read 2119 times)

So i was sitting here minding my own buisness when my cat comes up on my desk and starts to bug me.
i push him away and he walks over to the table near my desk and starts trying to eat something
i look to see what it is and it was a chocolate chip.
there was a piece missing from it about the size of an airsoft bb and iw as jut wondering if my cat is going to be okay
im not sure how much chocolate is lethal for a cat but if you guys know could you please tell me?
(i dont want to go to a vet because i dont want to bother them with something that i didint need to worry about)

my dog once ate half a twix bar

she was a little bit sick for an hour or two but then she got better

but man, all the dogs that have been in my family are siberian huskies.
my siberian that died a few years ago seemed like she was invincible. she got bit by a water mocassin twice in her life and lived to 15. toughest husky i've ever known. no bar of chocolate could kill her.

...but cancer did :(

My dog ate a chocolate brownie once and he was fine, just hyper, but I'm not sure about cats.

Maybe you could try calling a vet and asking them? taht's what we did.
