If you're not handicapped, the action takes half a second at most. It normally takes me a quarter of a second.

Since we're being overly technical here, when moving your hands to your keyboard after extensive mouse usage (because who uses their keyboard to navigate the computer anyway, that's completely counter-productive) and pressing these keys would take the same amount of time, if not more.

Pressing "win", "c" and "enter" takes me 1/10 of a second at most.

This is a stupid argument anyway - the only thing that matters is whether or not you like to keep everything simple.

I'm pretty sure no one here really cares about your hipster keyboard commands or whatever... It seriously looks like you mentioned them just to start an argument or show some kind of uber techy elitism or something.

How is searching for applications a "hipster keyboard command"?
I was just wondering - to me having random icons all over the place is extremely ugly.

I always have at least one hand on my keyboard - but anyway, yeah,

it's preference

Regarding the argument above, I personally use the keyboard to launch /all/ my programs. Limited to Steam, Maxthon, and games (though they are also indexed in this program).
