Can be expensive form of Windows 7 stripped down and designed for more networking intensive tasks for things like media servers and stuff, what I am running goes for 501 bucks currently on Microsoft's site, but I am gonna upgrade to a higher form here soon because college rocks with free software.

Yes and no.  If you are gonna use it for an every day OS, not recommended.  It's certainly possible but it's graphical features is sharply reduced.  It does not run certain features 7/8 can offer normally.  You would probably get a better experience from just normal Windows, server is meant to just kinda sit there and provide utilities to other computers which I am doing atm, just haven't finished setting everything up.  I.E. going to do a small scale media server to start off, eventually do some FTP and so on.

Windows 7 tends to have better gaming benchmarks.
