Author Topic: Doors, triggers, movers.  (Read 3980 times)

I know that BLB files or whatever you call them cannot be made to move or be interactive without breaking the lag-free gimmick.

My request/suggestion is for a small set of animated or moving items which will add functionality to are otherwise non-interactive builds.

I mean things like doors that work just like they did in RTB and triggers that can do whatever they are programmed to do.

They may be laggy but in small, controlled numbers (server admin control?) they could add a lot to everyones builds.

Wasn't this already suggested?

not sure, I know that others wanted bricks to move like they did in RTB but I think my suggestion is unique in the fact that I just wanted 'special' bricks that arent ultra-lag-free but are functional.

Maybe it has been suggested before...

hm.
You could make marcos and have a system to autoplay it when the trigger is hit.
(like it destroys the marcoed bricks and plays the second marco, so like a state system.)
marco one: |
marco one onfinish = "marco two"
marco two: /
marco two onfinish = "marco three"
marco three: _
marco three ontimeout = "marco four"
marco three timeout value = 5
marco four: /
marco four onfinish = "marco one"

would be complex, but would add doors.

Has already been suggested.

um...I didn't mention LEGO. I just want some doors or movers...

Why can't we have "blocko" doors?

bloko is  lego clone

There is a working LEGO door, not for Blockland, but it is a common piece that can swing from a 1x1 and is around the height of a 1x1x5. This would not break realism, not that walking and talking minifigs are realistic.  :cookieMonster:

I don't understand why making a door is LEGO like?

When I said "door" I didn't mean a swinging one. I meant a sliding one. I never asked for a 'lego door'. Just a door.

Don't flame me about something I didn't say.

Rry's idea sounds Reasonable. But that would be pretty complicated. Triggered macros.. intersting

I don't think that was a flame. in fact, I think he kinda stuck up for your idea.

i also want doors and triggers... maybe get from RTB? any ways BADSPOT PLZ ADD THIS IN NEXT UPDATE I MISS IT!

Dont do that^^ its just annoying. I would love to see this, im sure someone could implement a special .dts brick, sort of like a vehicle, but instead meant to be a door. Just because most bricks are .blb. although you wouldnt be able to make the door on fire or something like that.
