Author Topic: New question - Would you take away all racial differences if you could?  (Read 4726 times)

if he were gay (and if i could have a child) i'd leave him as he is

My personal opinion is yes to the first 2 and no to the third. It's not that I don't like gay people or I want children or something (we have adoption) its just it would cause more problems. Think about how much easier and "normal" a childs life in modern society would be if he is straight. I wouldn't want my child to be put through a life full of hate and discrimination just because I think it morally right or because I want an 'all natural' child. The child can't even think for itself yet. I would say no to three because by now he can make his own decisions, or he would already be known as the 'cigarette' and it wouldn't make much of a difference. Unless he wanted to of course.

I guess it really depends on your religious and moral standpoint.

It's funny when people say this because it assumes
  • A gay male will find you attractive just for being male
  • Gay men try to seduce every male they see
thank you for posting this
I hate it when people assume gay guys hit on every loving guy around them

It's funny when people say this because it assumes
  • You are worth being seduced
  • A gay male will find you attractive just for being male
  • Gay men try to seduce every male they see

and it also makes you a jackass.
Dude forget off. Like seriously, you practically track all my posts and when you find one smallest thing wrong with it you try to make me look like a dumbass when it's not a big deal.

edit: and I didn't loving mean it that every single gay guy hits on every guy they meet. I've also have complained tons of times about how girls dislike my looks.

but

you do look like a dumbass????

I would make him straight simply to avoid the pain that many homoloveuals go through with bullying, discrimination, etc...

He could have just been making a joke, no need to be so rash.

to number three?
that's pathetic.

what about to number 3, AFTER he knows he's gay? then you're consciously (and probably forcefully) altering who he is

>Otis

It's funny how people defend Otis's stuffty hate-posts just because he has a reputation of being an starfish. I don't get that and I have no doubt that it initially surprised, and now empowers Otis to stuffpost more and more.

I forgot to address that. It would really depend on the situation. If the kid comes out as gay, lives his life just fine and makes a great life for himself, why would I change that? Ultimately I would want my kid to be happy. If he's bullied daily for who he is, then I would change him for his own sake. Don't anybody say that's some bullstuff like "bullying strengthens people, he'll be a better person if you let him overcome it". Well guess what: at a young stage in life, kids don't know how to overcome it. So their way out is a collapse of their personality, they become a shell, perhaps consider Self Delete, and they aren't ever happy. Many use Self Delete as a way out, which is horrible. If changing my kid to be straight meant saving him from the torture I just mentioned, I would certainly do it.

I thought everyone knew he was an starfish.

If he wanted to stuffpost more her can. It'd do Maze more good to ignore him if that's what you really want.

I would assume by the time we are able to manipulate genes like this being gay will be like being black now, sort of held high because if you say one thing people will pull the bigot card. I think eventually everything will even out.

the last one as an anti-bully measure:

you can't change the past, and kids will still bully him unless like he screws 10 women
