>Otis
ohoho.
It's funny how people defend Otis's stuffty hate-posts just because he has a reputation of being an starfish. I don't get that and I have no doubt that it initially surprised, and now empowers Otis to stuffpost more and more.
what about to number 3, AFTER he knows he's gay? then you're consciously (and probably forcefully) altering who he is
I forgot to address that. It would really depend on the situation. If the kid comes out as gay, lives his life just fine and makes a great life for himself, why would I change that? Ultimately I would want my kid to be happy. If he's bullied daily for who he is, then I would change him for his own sake. Don't anybody say that's some bullstuff like "bullying strengthens people, he'll be a better person if you let him overcome it". Well guess what: at a young stage in life, kids don't know how to overcome it. So their way out is a collapse of their personality, they become a shell, perhaps consider Self Delete, and they aren't ever happy. Many use Self Delete as a way out, which is horrible. If changing my kid to be straight meant saving him from the torture I just mentioned, I would certainly do it.
