You unlock other classes by getting to a certain level on your owned classes. It should tell you the requirements under the locked ones.

Okay. Also, how exactly do I earn fame? I played for 10 minutes and died with a rather low level and got around 22 fame, and in my next play I played for around 20 minutes and died at level 13 with 14 fame.

I haven't played in awhile, but basically you kill gods and gain I think 1 fame per god kill, or it might just be lots of exp.
However. There are bonuses you can get to DRAMATICALLY increase the amount of fame you gain when you die. here's a link:

You'll have to keep the same character alive for around week or so to gain around 500+ fame, at least that was my experience.

You don't have to play non stop. If you register an account, you can get off and on. You earn more fame if you kill gods, event gods, go to oryx's castle, do dungeons and obtain bonuses. (Most of which you must reach level 20 to get.)

I already created an account around the same time I started playing. Also, how do you "get off and on"? There seems to be no way to exit the game other than forcefully terminating the connection.

Well there is that, or you can type /pause if you're not surrounded by enemies, but there's also pressing F5 which will bring you to the safe zone called the Nexus.
But generally speaking... if you want to exit the game... you close the tab lol.
