Chapter 1: The great escape

It all went like this...every day.

People would just take a walk on the beach...



But everything would turn darker and darker...because they would be after you.




It's almost impossible to run away. One hit by that lightning, and...




You'd turn to stone. And the Darkside soldiers would come to get you and transport you to one of their slave camps in a volcanic region of which nobody really knew the location.




They will put you in a cell where you either will rot away and die slowly and painfully if you're persistent once you turn back into yourself, or you'd have to work for them as a slave in the camp for the rest of your life.

Luckily, things might change.

The highest of all prisoners, a really persistent guy...

Geno the Devil. That's what they call him.
He's had plans to escape from the camp a long time ago and only worked for them in order to hide suspicion.
And today, he's breaking out.

Let's go see how he's doing...



Geno: Huff...huff...nobody's watching?



*stare*
*CLUNK*



Geno: Alright then!

He runs off to the storage room.



Geno: Time to get my supplies back and get out of here.

Geno gathers his stuff and leaves.

Back at the cell.

Poor fellow. I hope he'll find my escape route so he can escape from this camp.



Well then, time to break out!

He quickly dresses and enters the tunnel.



Geno: No one...will suspect a thing.

He sets out into the fields to find the nearest village.

After a long walk he arrives at a cave.

It says that it leads to the Elf Village, but he doesn't know what kind of monster is waiting for him in that cave...



However...he doesn't know his escape has already been noticed.



???: Heh heh heh...So you thought you could escape, huh?
You cannot escape from the darksides...Nobody can...I'll be sure to show you that...



Who is this mysterious masked man?

Masked Man: You two, be sure to remember I only hired you imps so you could spy for me.
You shall not be handling the fighting as I can see you cannot even handle it to stand on your feet properly...

Imps: Hey! Don't insult us! We're just small boned!

Masked Man: No excuses! I shall be sending somebody else to do my dirty work and you two shall not interfere! Understand?

Imps: Fiiiiiine...

Meanwhile, Geno is greeted inside the cave by some lovely tentacles.



Geno: What in the world?
???: THUNDER!





???: Yeah, uh...my expiriment with creating a plant went a little wrong and it's gone berserk.
Ah, he's starting to pull me inside! The only thing I can do now is hope that he doesn't have heartburn.

*GULP*



Geno: Hey! Spit him out!



Geno immideatly jumps into the air, furious.

Geno: Devil Sword Techniques...SILENT SLASH!



Incredible speed...



The tentacles are sliced in two and completely useless.



Geno: Hey, he's starting to dry up...



Plant: Gllpp...ghhkk...gahhgggkool kids klub....



The beast lets out a roar to express its pain.



Geno: Hey, uh...wizard guy? Are you there?

*silence*

Geno: ...I really don't want to...I...Oh, what the hell.

He slowly climbs into the plant's mouth and drops himself into the monster's throat, not knowing how big its inner chambers are. But soon, he'll know and regret that he ever jumped into that hole.
