I'm going to immediatly assume that you didn't even attempt to use the item while in a minigame. The item does not work outside of minigames.

Nice work, though this annoys the hell out of me on certain servers when people abuse it and send you flying into the stratosphere and you either A) die of fall damage or B) die when they hit you a second time right as you land.

Anyways, you could just use a pref for the 'normal voice' or 'high pitched voice'.

If it is a small enough explosion and if it's a bit away then it's probably possible.
