pssh, city mats
my dad's friend had a miniature replica of one of those big cities in lord of the rings. whenever we went over to his house, i'd poke the streets with a toothpick and pretend i was a giant crushing all the people.

Girls just don't understand.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to set up an enormous traffic jam then pretend-play that my jet is going down right next to them.
Kaboom

Holy stuff, that loving city mat, I remember building lego town on it with some friends at a daycare center when I was young.

Oh god city mat.
I always had car crashes on those.

Hey guys what about these,

I loved them so much.

Ahh
That mat
I remember.
*tear*

Did anyone else have the Thomas the Train Table?

I miss the good parts of my childhood. Also thanks for showing that city mat because it brought back some of my good memory's.

Half my memory's been blocked so it takes a bit to remember things.

Me and my cousin, and we would buy all the sets that came out.

Then they brought in that new plastic, automatic bullstuff Thomas and I never loved it again.

I would build huge elaborate sets with the scenery pieces, take out a marble and/or hotwheels car, and I would roll it towards the scene in an attempt to break it all down (I was a huge fan of all those brick-breaking games on the computer.) Magical Ball and Ricochet all day everyday.

When I was a kid I had Hornby railway sets.
I managed to rig the tracks so that I could collide two trains and have all their cargo spill out and stuff, I felt like a genius when I got it working right

My childhood was composed of weird ugly stuff.
