What exactly is Stronghold Kingdoms?

Stronghold Kingdoms is an all out strategy game, set in medieval time.

What do you do in Stronghold Kingdoms?

In Stronghold Kingdoms, you are a village in part of a parish. You rank up by getting honor points, upgrade your village's abilities such as mathematics, architecture, military, industry, and many other factors.

What do parishes do?

Parishes can be thought of as a county, containing all the villages. Members of a parish are recommended to work together and succeed as one community. At a certain rank, members of the village can run for the position of Steward, or basically governor of the parish.

What does a Steward do?

A Steward runs the parish capitol. He's in charge of construction and maintenance of the buildings of the capitol, the parish castle, and the market in the parish. Stewards can run for office as ruler of the county (as though parishes were cities and villages were homes), county rulers can run for province leader, and province leaders can run for country leader.

Wow, that sounds cool. What's the gameplay like?

Gameplay of SK is not too too complicated, but does require some tutorial and getting used to. You control the buildings placed in your town, what the residents of your town do (ie work at the buildings, become merchants/scouts/monks, enlist in the military, etc.), what to research in the town, the village castle, and any type of outside relation/interaction (trading, attacking, etc.)

What king of buildings are there to place?

There are a branch of different types of buildings:
  • Town Buildings - These benefit the town themselves in a variety of ways. These include hovels, to increase max population in the town, entertainment buildings to increase honor gained per day, etc.
  • Industrial Buildings - These affect the amount of resources gained per hour, or just in general. These include Woodcutter's huts, Stone Quarrys, Iron Refineries, Marketplaces, etc.
  • Farm Buildings - These affect the amount of food and beer produced per hour, or just in general. These include Apple Orchards, Dairy Farms, Breweries, etc.
  • Weapon Production Buildings - These speak for themselves, they produce weapons. They're also the slowest producing buildings. These include Fletchers, Poleturners, Armour Workshops, etc.
  • Banqueting Resources Buildings - These buildings increase the amount of banqueting resources gained per hour. Banqueting is basically a quick way to get honor faster. These include Hunter's huts, Carpenters, Metalware Shops, etc.

What's this "banqueting" thing you talked about? sounds gay

Banqueting is a faster way to get honor through, well, holding banquets! As you research banqueting more and more, you get more items to use during banquets. In order, they go: Venison, Furniture, Metalware, Clothing, Wine, Salt, Spice, and Silk. The amount of items you use during a banquet, affects the amount of honor gained. Each item allows 1 honor, but for every different type of item, the amount of honor gained is multiplied by a set amount of intervals (ie just venison is x1, venison and furniture is x3, venison furniture and metalware is x9, and so forth.)

Wow this all sounds so cool! Where can I download/buy this, and how much does it cost?

Right off Steam, and it's completely free!

1. Save up your resources, cuz wood is important. Just get the iron from Iron man, he knows about iron.

2. Always listen to your steward, but make sure to vote yourself once you're experienced.

3. Don't let other parishes take over your parish, it ain't cool mang.
