Relatives that fought in a war?

I'm sure everyone has a relative that fought in a war. I'll start:

My grandfather was drafted and fought in Vietnam. He doesn't talk about it much.
My grandfather's uncle fought in WWII. He came back not exactly right my grandfather says. His uncle said that he watched his brother get hit by a shell and nothing was left but a hole.
My great-great-great grandfather fought in WWI. I don't know much other than that, except he was a Captain I believe.

Great-Great Grandfather fought in WWII

My Great-Great Grandfather was in the Army, but there's no record of what he did specifically.
My Great-Grandfather was a B-24 pilot during WWII. He got shot down and captured, and was a POW for about 2 years.
My Grandfather was also in the Airforce, but he never flew a plane.
My Dad was in the Navy on the USS Saratoga, and he did work on the A-6 intruder for the Black Panthers squadron.

It's kind of a tradition for the men in the family to join the Armed Forces. I know there's more but like my Great-Great Grandfather there's little or no record of them.

I wish I knew more about my relatives that were in the war. It's kind of a touchy subject, and barely any of our family lives where we do, let alone family that know about that kind of stuff.
