You don't have to dance. You can just walk around and wait for a call to go outside.

I wouldn't recommend turning the audio off. Yes, you won't hear the cussing, but you won't hear anything else either. I would just shrug off the cuss words, they're just words.

you can skip all cutscenes, but the first one is pretty interesting, as it plays off a mission from the original GTA IV, along with a few other mission cutscenes where you see Niko again

also you can play multiplayer by yourself and you can turn cops etc. off and just screw around without doing the story
