I somehow doubt this would work. My reasoning is as follows:
Using the chatbinds mod, you can make a / or even a tilde (if you edit the config file) the first character in a chat message that is sent to the server.
Therefore, I assume that the checking for server commands (or / commands) is done client-sided.
Since the brick has no client, it will not send properly.

As for just posting ANYTHING in chat (admin commands nonwithstanding), that could work, I know they made a Minigame chat message, and I think I found a server chat message function somewhere.
