that's actually pretty annoying, i hated that mod, really abused, don't even know why it wasn't failed since it even worked out of minigames.

You can set the distance with the Rtb prefs. But then again, not everyone has rtb, just saying they can't follow 3 simple steps, download, unzip, add ons.

A better idea is the L4D/TF2 style non-collision where it pushes them out the way slightly.

This has been discussed before and it came to the conclusion that recreating the default player with all the proper animations isn't worth the effort.
