Guys, I plan on making a Mayor rank to be selected at random. what do you think he should have control of?
the prices of things

I'm going to give the mayor the ability to change the stock value, for one. He'll have other benefits also, but not as important.

Shall I hold elections or have it random picked?

Usually I'm not one to complain about strategically based games, but what's the goal?

sure, "get a lot of points" sounds like a goal, but in reality you need more of an incentive to keep people playing.

it would be so awsome if icy ponzied everyone again

BLMA is suing you for exposing privaste infos!?!@

I've got to be honest, while I love what you are doing and I love the build, and I'm all for this kind of novelty thing, it looks incredibly boring.

Well people play competitively. The aim is basically for people to get to the top rank, to invest appropriately and make lots of points (as forementioned) and also to get into a position of authority such as the mayor position. Players can also make a business, which lets them integrate into the game much more. I suppose there isn't one primary goal, but a wide array of things to accomplish and there's more to come.

anything i could add?

Erm... I'm not sure. I just think a stock RP that focuses entirely on buying stock would be boring. Presumably you wait a while and then whoever makes the most wins? I'm not seeing the appeal. But it could be the start of something interesting.

I can appreciate this build for the events rather than the playability.

you don't only buy stock. you make a business, thats why it's called a business RP. your profit comes from your job and the stock market.

So wait, how does the business generate money to pay back? Why would another business buy "building services" or furniture. Is that it?

Well, in every shop there is a donation brick. This is used so players can donate to the business owner and then the owner will provide the services. Another business won't buy the services, an individual customer will. If the customer refuses to pay or does not pay after the services are complete, the customer won't receive the product.

For example, if you were selling building services or furniture, you would allow customers to donate a fixed amount to the company and then you would provide the service. You can't take their money and run because you will be punished.

There is a relay set to every business owner that gives them tax and income at fixed intervals, also.

Having your name on a list is completely useless.

How is the game competitive?

Trying to beat everybody else, it's not very hard to explain in the scheme of things lol

How does the punishment system work?
