All killing is wrong because you deny that person the opportunities in life. Thus, war is wrong.

War is only wrong in that mindset. It all depends on how you prioritize the things in your life. If you put your own wants and motives first (which some may call this greed), then killing is justified if it furthers those motives. If you put certain groups of people first (family, friends, etc.), then killing is justified if it protects those people or furthers their goals. War is only "wrong" if you put all of human life first.

No life should end just because someone selfishly prioritizes certain people over others.

it's always funny watching people who have just seen videos like this act like they're a reformed philosophical person who has 'seen the light'

it all turns to stuff when they try and apply it to the real world

While that sounds good in theory, it is only theory.

The fact is, people, by nature, are greedy. We're very habitual and tend to hoard. We almost always priorities ourselves, our ideas, and those we care about over random "people". And frankly, I doubt any amount of documentaries and other such propaganda (I use that in the most non-offensive way possible) will be able to change that.

Survival has changed. We have the technology to stay alive much longer and natural selection has changed to a game of financial success. Classic Darwinism doesn't apply to us anymore, and we can have control over our thoughts and actions in a more mature way.

why bump this if you've got nothing to add?

Did you watch the video? In order to expose the video to more people I can either create a duplicate topic or bump this. If it is proven over time that people are not interested I will lock this.

People come back from vacations or visit the forums after not visiting for awhile. If you want it to die then stop responding ;).

Actually, the video explains ideas that I have thought of my entire life. It is a simple train of thought that technically makes more sense than today's society.
