Author Topic: Anyone else getting sick of southpark?  (Read 1133 times)

It just seems like southpark is running out of ideas. Now they are trying to remain culturally relevant but that is just backfiring because today's culture is complete garbage.

Last episode was about memes. I just couldn't follow through it.

I missed it when they were going to look for scuzzlebutt or help find The Mexican Staring Frog of Southern Sri Lanka.

Now south park is just trying to keep up with 2012. I imagine they are going to do a stuffty Mayan 2012 episode now.

An episode about meme?

That's absolutely handicapped.

I got sick of it before I watched one episode of it, which I still haven't

I think some episodes are moderately entertaining, but to me it just seems like they're trying too hard most of the time and it just ends up being obnoxious.

Maybe they should go back to cardboard paper cut outs and get back in touch with their roots.

theyve always used a computer to emulate cutouts, only the pilot was done with real cutouts

Watching the new episode now.

theyve always used a computer to emulate cutouts, only the pilot was done with real cutouts

Well they should go back to at least emulating the cutouts. Everything is too sharp.

The show was better before it started taking itself seriously.

This isn't the first time they've done an episode on memes. I haven't seen the latest seasons, so I don't know how it's improved or gotten bad.

South park make a fun of themselves.

Sounds like the same deal as family guy, the simpsons and whatever it is you goons watch

I have always been sick of southpark.  Any show that depends on offensiveness for humor is not worth watching.

"forget forget forget am I funny yet"

Stark contrast to my topic made right after the episode aired: http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=190076.0

I'm in it for the jokes, and the random trains and "OH LONG JOHNSON!" made me smile (I don't laugh much anymore...). I like it, even if I don't always get the jokes. I get the... ya, I get what they said, but I don't have outside information on it.
