Author Topic: Gravity Wells  (Read 1584 times)

I love doing things like this:

The blue planet is a planet of 'normal' matter - it pulls on the object tracing the yellow line. The yellow planet is a planet of 'negative' matter - it pushes the object tracing the line away. By adding planets of various sizes, I can get things like this.

And of course, by adding more or larger planets of both positive and negative matter, I can create incredibly interesting orbits, some of which are actually stable.

(The white lines are equigravitation lines - gravity is the same at those lines.)

Wow, that's pretty neat, makes me think of gravity irregularities on earth due to mountains and stuff.

Looks like it needs anti-aliasing. What are you using to make these?

Random program I made in half an hour.

Looks fun to play around when you're bored in class.

What programming language? It looks neat.

I want that program.

you should release it so all the blocklanders can be happy

The actual render of the planets takes a monumental length of time. (AKA: You have to wait for a few seconds.)
It's horrible, you guys would hate it.

This is really neat.  I always liked the idea of variable planet sizes and orbits.
