Google owns YouTube, so why do they need Google Video?

because where else will we get research results from multiple websites

If you haven't looked in a while it changed to YouTube instead of video.

most vids on google video are direct links to youtube anyways.
i think eventually they will convert or combine.

google video was around before the youtube buyout. but was heavily used lol. so its not a fast process

Google video is now really just a search engine for videos.  Perfect for research finding results that may not be on youtube.
