Author Topic: Should I buy a gaming mouse?  (Read 1545 times)

Right now I'm using sort of a nothing special mouse. I know they "custom make" mouses for gaming but do they really offer any type of advantage?

There is pretty much no advantage except more buttons you can make hotkeys out of. I personally think all of the side buttons are hard to press and lead to lots of accidental doing stuff.

using a gaming mouse. loved the idea of it at first. ended up not needing any of the buttons.

only feature that I like is how you can change the sensitivity whenever you want.

New question because I can;

Are gaming Keyboard worth it?
Im saving for one and yeah.

If you can help it just get a keyboard with mechanical keys.

Whats the difference?

I need a keyboard that allows more than two keys pressed at once.

So mechanical keys and anti-ghosting yeah. Now you know what to look for.

I have a R.A.T. 7 and it's the sturdiest and most comfortable mouse I've used.

Only if you need one.  Anti-ghosting, aka ability to press more than a few keys at the same time, is a useful feature.  Make sure the keyboard you're looking at has that feature if you want it before you buy it.  Personally I don't care for it too much, but my keyboards have to have media buttons that are compatible with WMP.

My cousin's told me not to get it only because its made by Madcatz.

Also don't you know the R.A.T 9 has been out for a while?

You should sell your old one and upgrade.

I heard it was bad because it was wireless. I'm sticking with my RAT 7, even though it's broken a bit.

I bought a blockland forums mouse.
It has buttons that allow me to page up/down.

I have a G9x and a G510
Infinitely superior to my old mouse and keyboard, worth the money

The only difference between the R.A.T. 7 and the R.A.T. 9 is that one is wireless and the other is not. The mouse is good quality and feels very solid.

i personally just prefer any optical mouse that works well and has mouse3

absolutely no mechanical mice
